I bought this after becoming interested in Mateljan's website on the world's healthiest foods. I'm finding that the book, like his site, uses common-sense approaches to food choices and preparation.After a few weeks of eating the world's healthiest food, it strikes me that it's just so obvious: eat the food that has the most nutritional value per calorie. Duh, right? My way of tricking myself into eating it at first was to say, "I can have all the processed, high-sugar food I want AFTER I'm finished with my allotment of nutrient-dense food." Well, of course, after the nutrient-dense food, I simply wasn't hungry for the other stuff. And now, three weeks in, the food I used to eat is too sweet, too dense, too greasy for my taste.This is a great introduction to using the world's healthiest food to lose weight. I'd recommend supplementing it with the author's (free) website after you've tried it for a few weeks.
